One Good Thing Leads to Another

One good thing leads to another. 

We had been spending so much time out on our deck, mornings and evenings, we decided to seek out and purchase some comfy furniture for the spaces. 

After a few days of scouring all stores that sell outdoor furniture, we settled on two sets, one for each main level, and a second table to accommodate more guests for meals.

You can see one sofa and chair set we purchased for the top level of our deck in the photo. 

Now it is easier to spend even more time outside in our beautiful backyard. 

One good thing leads to another. 

And I finally added a bird feeder. 

Almost overnight, the birds discovered it, so I've seen mourning doves, sparrows, house finches, and a goldfinch at the feeder several times a day.  

We've also been using the Merlin app to help us identify the birds that fill our woods. 

I'm astounded at the number and variety; I had no idea! 

And once we know a bird is out there, it is easier to spot them.

And once we spot them, that only adds to the joy of being outdoors more.
