I'll be doing this for the month of June. (Click the link to see what I mean.) Obviously, I won't be interacting with the other "participants" much, but this is a way for me to really focus on praying for Dwayne. I've been through this book a few times since we got married. But, it's gone unused for several weeks, if not a few months now. My marriage isn't on the rocks and there's nothing pestering me about Dwayne that I'd really like God to change or anything like that. But, I still feel lead to do this for some reason. I look forward to seeing (and perhaps sharing here) what God does this month as I pray. Half the time I pray for Dwayne, God does the work I ask for in me anyway, so maybe that's what this is all about. I guess we shall see.
"...the child should have a set time everyday to read for fun. Begin with half an hour for first graders, and build up to an hour of reading time daily... This is an important part of the child's education: it improves his reading skills, teaches him the habit of sitting still with a book, and reminds him that reading is fun... free reading ought to be spent on literature at or slightly below the child's present reading level so that he can simply enjoy himself. The easier reading will help him increase his speed." The Well Trained Mind: The Guide to Classical Education at Home by Jessie Wise and Susan Wise Bauer
